Varօujan Avedikian was born in 1974 in Yerevan.

In 1998, Varօujan Avedikian graduated from University of Nicosia (Cyprus) with B.Sc. in Business Administration, Associate of Law Degree.

In 2004, was awarded LL.M. in European Union Commercial Law from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.

In 2005, received LL.M. in Financial and Banking Law after graduating from Boston University, School of Law Boston, Massachusetts.

In 2009, after graduating from Harvard University, Harvard Kennedy School, was awarded a degree of Master in Public Administration, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

In 2008-2009, was teaching assistant at Harvard Kennedy School, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

In 2015-2018, was visiting lecturer on financial regulation and central banking at Christ’s College, Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Since 2000, has been hired as adjunct professor of Financial Law and Business Law at French University in Armenia, Yerevan, Armenia.

Since 2019, has been hired as adjunct professor of Transactional Law and Financial Regulation (LL.M.) and Adaptive Leadership (MBA) at American University of Armenia.

In 2018-2020, served as Chief Executive Officer of Armenian Institute of Directors.

Since 2020, has been acting as Trustee for French University in Armenia Foundation.

In 2020, 2021 and 2022, was recognized as Highly Regarded Lawyer by International Financial Law Review journal.

In 2006-2018, served as General Counsel - Head of Legal Department at the RA Central Bank.

Since 2018, has been working as short-term expert for Legal Department of the International Monetary Fund, Washington DC, USA.

Since 2018, has been working for TK&Partners (legal and advisory) as a Managing Partner, Yerevan, Armenia.

In 2023, was awarded with the European Board Diploma by The European Confederation of Directors’ Associations (ecoDa)

Since December 2022 up to present - Member of Supervisory Board of Evocabank CJSC and since April 2023 up to present – Member of Audit Committee.

Married, has 3 children.
