Who is considered a resident of the Republic of Armenia?
Your residency status is determined based on the following important factors.
You are considered a resident of the Republic of Armenia if:
- During the tax year, you stayed in the Republic of Armenia for 183 days or more.
- The center of your vital interests is in the Republic of Armenia.
When assessing the center of vital interests, factors such as residence or permanent residence of your family, your primary employment or business, assets, sources of income, and economic activity may be taken into account.
Are you not a resident of the Republic of Armenia?
If you are a citizen of another country and fail to comply with RA residency criteria,
You can become a Bank customer if you meet at least one of the conditions listed below:
- Real property in the Republic of Armenia
You own real property asset in the RA and your title to the property is confirmed by a relevant registration certificate. - Bank deposit for a period of at least 6 months.
You are planning to open a deposit with Evocabank for a period of at least 6 months within the following limits:
- USD 20,000,
- Euro 20,000,
- RUB 1,500,000
- Or an equivalent amount in Armenian drams.
- Sole proprietor in the Republic of Armenia
You are registered in the Republic of Armenia as a sole proprietor and have the relevant registration certificate.
- A participant or shareholder of a company registered in the Republic of Armenia
You are a shareholder of a company registered in the RA, and your status is confirmed by the relevant documents.
