Karen Yeghiazaryan’s new interview with Banks.am

In an interview with Banks.am, Karen Yeghiazaryan, Chairman of the Management Board of Evocabank, spoke about the importance of green financing, energy efficiency, and sustainable development, emphasizing that the banking system in Armenia has become one of the key driving forces in these areas.

He also touched upon Evocabank’s international collaborations in the field of green finance, highlighting the Bank’s projects implemented in partnership with OPEC, IFC, EBRD, and other leading organizations.

“Nearly 90% of our growing leasing portfolio is directed toward financing the acquisition of green equipment. Considering this and similar factors, we can affirm that businesses are beginning to realize that sustainable finance is not just a ‘nice-to-have,’ but increasingly vital for capital allocation, risk management, and corporate strategy,” noted Karen Yeghiazaryan in the interview.
